The 6 D’s framework By Peter Diamandis

Digitize Deceptive Disruptive Dematerialization Demonetization Democratization Technology is digitizing almost everything now. When a new technology is born, even if it is growing at an exponential rate, it is deceptive at first because people don’t know about it. Furthermore, exponential growth, at the early stages can be so small it seems invisible. However, because exponential growth is like time-folding, a repeated doubling, eventually it will move from deceptive, or unseen, to disruptive. Ultimately, it will grow so large and continue doubling that growth will be uncontrollable and explosive. Regarding dematerialization, Diamandis explains that as a society, we used to own several things physically that we now own in the form of smart-phone apps. For instance, we used to own a CD player, a watch, a camera, a video camera, a computer, a calendar, a GPS, a VCR, a TV, libraries of books and music, etc. Now all these things have become digitized and dematerialized. These and many more things are now included free with every smart-phone, including connection to the worldwide web. Not only can physical items become dematerialized, but entire industries. For instance, the movie rental industry was dematerialized by Redbox which was dematerialized by[…] »

Good things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.

Ever since the Cognitive Revolution, Sapiens have thus been living in a dual reality. On the one hand, the objective reality of rivers, trees and lions; and on the other hand, the imagined reality of gods, nations and corporations. As time went by, the imagined reality became ever more powerful, so that today the very survival of rivers, trees and lions depends on the grace of imagined entities such as the United States and Google.

Every child is an artist, the problem is staying an artist when you grow up.

Monothéismes

Juifs, musulmans = Dieu unique

  • Dieu Chrétien = Dieu le Père
  • Dieu Musulman = Allah
  • Dieu Juif = Adonaï Elohim

Les chrétiens croient que le Messie est Jesus, les juifs l’attendent encore.

Une religion officielle n’est jamais qu’une secte qui a réussi.

Burn your boats

Alexander the Great arrived on the shores of Persia along with his men, as soon as they got there they realised they were vastly outnumbered…

Alexander’s men pleaded that they retreat at once, returning at a later date with more men.

99% of men would suggest exactly the same thing, it’s the logical answer right?Alexander the Great however decided to take a slightly different approach…

He ordered his men to burn their boats at onceAs their only means of retreat went up in flames, legend has it that Alexander turned to his men and said “we go home in Persian ships, or we die”

Drive it like you stole it

From Sing Street movie

You just can’t stand the way that I walked out from the wreckage
Can’t understand the way that I turned myself around
I tried to terminate this war
With you
But you won’t let it go
You keep coming back for more

Freedom
I’m takin’ it back
I’m outta here, no turnin’ back
In a baby blue Cadillac
Just when I was stallin’
I heard an angel callin’

This is your life
You can go anywhere
You gotta grab the wheel and own it
And drive it like you stole it
Roll it
This is your life
You can be anything
You gotta learn to rock and roll it
You gotta put the pedal down
And drive it like you stole it
And drive it like you stole it

We get stuck in the dirt
And we can’t see where we’re going
We face all kinds of hurt
And the friction slows us down
But I won’t be waiting here for the world to win me gold
And I’ll leave your dust behind me
Stranded in the road

Freedom
I’m takin’ it back
Attitude
I’m givin’ it back
In a baby blue Cadillac
Just when I was stallin’
I heard an angel callin’

This is your life
You can go anywhere
You gotta grab the wheel and own it
You gotta put the pedal down
And drive it like you stole it

This is your life
You can go anywhere
You gotta grab the wheel and own it
And drive it like you stole it
Roll it
This is your life
You can be anything
You gotta learn to rock and roll it
You gotta put the pedal down
And drive it like you stole it
(Hoo, hoo, hoo-ooh-ooh)
And drive it like you stole it
(Hoo, hoo, hoo-ooh-ooh)
And drive it like you stole it
(Hoo, hoo, hoo-ooh-ooh)
And drive it like you stole it
(Hoo, hoo, hoo-ooh-ooh)

If everything seems to be under control, you’re just not going fast enough.
